This year's challenge is called Breakaway.

For this year's challenge, the robots will play a soccer-like game in a 27' x 54' field that has three zones separated by short bump structures (kind of like a large speed bump). The teams score points by shooting balls into the goals. They can also gain extra points if they can climb onto the tower structure in the middle of the field in the final moments of the match. The matches have both human operated portions and fully automated portions. The challenge is sure to take some ingenuity, .... and cooperation. Good luck to all!
